Christmas Recipes

We are very happy to be back and our best wishes to the Coastline in this new period starting now. We really hope you are enjoying the early summer we are having  It is great to have such a nice weather. This is a very sweet and yummy recipe we like a lot. We recommend you to serve it with vanilla ice cream, you will definitely love it. This is the recipe and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do:

Ingredients

  • 8-10 pears
  • 1 litre (34 oz) of red wine
  • 200 gr. (7 oz) brown sugar approximately
  • 5 or 6 cloves
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • The skin of an orange
  • Vanilla ice cream

Preparation

HOW TO PREPARE:

⦿ We peel the pears and leave the stem. Cut them on the base a bit so that we can get them standing

⦿ Put them in a pot and cover them with red wine

⦿ Add to the pot, the cinnamon, the cloves, the sugar and the orange skin and let’s cook for 30 minutes.

⦿ When the cooking time is over, remove the pears and put them in a bowl and also remove the orange peel, cinnamon and cloves.

⦿ We continue cooking the broth and let reduce to make it a syrup to accompany the pears.

⦿ We will serve our dessert when pears are cool and will accompany them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

A delicious dessert and besides very healthy.

Have a great week and very happy to be back and together.
